After trading DeMarcus Cousins during the All-Star game last season, the Sacramento Kings are fully devoted to rebuilding. With that in mind, this year's Summer League will be a great opportunity for Kings fans to peer into their future. Sacramento will bring eight players to Las Vegas who will probably be on the team's Opening Day roster. Furthermore, this Summer League will be the first chance for fans to see Sacramento's four 2017 draft picks playing in Kings gear. The most obvious facet of this roster is the big man depth chart. Sacramento will have precious little playing time for their young bigs at the NBA level, with newly-signed Zach Randolph joining Kosta Koufos and Willie Cauley-Stein in the front court. However, Skal, Papagiannis, and Harry Giles will be mostly unc. The Kings will get a chance to mix and match with their young bigs to see not only how they fit in together, but also how ready Skal and Harry Giles might be to man the middle next season.

In addition to the plethora of Kings' players on this roster, there are some other notable names on this Summer League squad. Eric Stuteville played nearby at Sacramento State and set the school record for field goal percentage last season with a 63.2% mark from the field. Stuteville will probably see all of the big man minutes that are not doled out to the trio of young first-round picks, and he could have an impact as a rim protector and low-post bruiser.

The Kings are also bringing Luis Montero and Reggie Hearn to Summer League. Montero got an NBA cup of coffee with the Portland Trail Blazers; both he and Hearn played for the Reno Bighorns last season. JaKarr Sampson also has some NBA experience, playing for both the Philadelphia 76ers and (briefly) with the Denver Nuggets. Lastly, Dominique Hawkins is a Kentucky product who played with both Skal and De'Aaron Fox during his time in Lexington.

The Kings open Summer League on Friday against the Phoenix Suns. With the NBA talent on their roster, this Kings squad is a good bet to make some noise in the Summer League playoffs. Given the nature of the playoff system in Las Vegas, Sacramento will play quite a few more games than are on their current schedule. For the moment, however, this is their Summer League slate:

The Sacramento Kings will get a chance to showcase much of their young talent during this Summer League. With four new rookies to watch and plenty of other young talent, Kings games in Las Vegas will certainly be fun to watch.
