Oklahoma City Thunder game previews between November 21 and November 27, including games against: Denver Nuggets, Los Angeles Lakers, Detroit Pistons, Sacramento Kings.

After finishing last week with an overall record of two wins and three losses, and an overall record of 8-6, the Oklahoma City Thunder look to continue to build on their first place position in the Northwest Division. First up, they head to the City of Angels to play D'Angelo Russell and the Los Angeles Lakers and immediately after they head to California's capital in the second of a back-to-back to face the Sacramento Kings. The Thunder then play their second set of back-to-back's on Friday in Denver against the Nuggets. After that the Thunder return to Oklahoma City to wrap up their week against Andre Drummond and the Detroit Pistons.

Los Angeles Lakers

Tuesday, 22 November 2016 at 10:30 PM ET Away

The Oklahoma City Thunder open up their week on the road against a young Los Angeles Lakers squad (7-6, 4-2 Home). The last time the Thunder faced the Lakers the Thunder walked away victorious, with a final score of 113-96. Russell Westbrook was a man on the mission last time out against the Lakers with a stat line of 33 points, 11 rebounds and 16 assists. Victor Oladipo was a major contributor for the Thunder in their last game against the Lakers with 20 points and 4 assists. Look for both players, mainly Westbrook, to have a huge night against a tenacious Los Angeles team.

For Los Angeles the Lakers have been on a tear lately, mostly due to their bench unit. Thirteen games into the season the Lakers bench offers a staggering 51.1 points per game with help from players like Jordan Clarkson and Lou Williams. The Thunders' bench squad will be put to the test against a tough Lakers unit and if the Thunder are able to contain the Lakers bench they should walk away victorious.

Projected Starting Lineups:

Los Angeles Lakers:

  • PG - D'Angelo Russell
  • SG - Nick Young
  • SF - Luol Deng
  • PF - Julius Randle
  • C - Timofey Mozgov
  • Injuries  - D'Angelo Russell (Knee, Questionable), Ivica Zubac (Ankle, Day-to-Day)

Oklahoma City Thunder:

  • PG - Russell Westbrook
  • SG - Victor Oladipo
  • SF - Andre Roberson
  • PF - Domantas Sabonis
  • C - Steven Adams
  • Injuries - Semaj Christon (Concussion, Day-to-Day), Cameron Payne (Foot, Out Indefinitely)?

Sacramento Kings

Wednesday, 23 November 2016 at 10:30 PM ET Away

In their second game of a back-to-back and the second of a three game road trip the Oklahoma City Thunder head to California's capital to face off against the Sacramento Kings (4-9, 2-4 Home). This is the first time the Thunder are facing off against the Kings who are currently led by arguably the best big in the league in Demarcus Cousins. Cousins averages a fantastic 27.5 points per game to go along with 9.6 rebounds and 1.0 blocks as well. Steven Adams will have his hands full against Cousins on the defensive side of the ball but if the Thunder are able to neutralize Cousins' impact then they should walk away victorious.

Projected Starting Lineups:

Sacramento Kings:

  • PG - Darren Collison
  • SG - Arron Afflalo
  • SF - Rudy Gay
  • PF - Kosta Koufos
  • C - Demarcus Cousins
  • Injuries - None

Oklahoma City Thunder:

  • PG - Russell Westbrook
  • SG - Victor Oladipo
  • SF - Andre Roberson
  • PF - Domantas Sabonis
  • C - Steven Adams

Denver Nuggets

Friday, 25 November 2016 at 09:00 PM ET Away

After a day off for the Thanksgiving holiday the Oklahoma City Thunder are back at it in their second back-to-back of the week and the final game of their three game road trip against the Denver Nuggets (4-8, 1-4 Home). This is the first time the Thunder face off against the Nuggets in a key matchup for the Thunder to help cement their division standing. The Nuggets are led by Danilo Gallinari with 17.2 points per game. Thunder lock down defender Andre Roberson will have a tough task against Gallinari and if he succeeds with his usual brand of defense the Thunder should walk away victorious against a lowly Nuggets team.

Projected Starting Lineups:

Denver Nuggets:

  • PG - Emmanuel Mudiay
  • SG - Jameer Nelson
  • SF - Danilo Gallinari
  • PF - Kenneth Faried
  • C - Jusuf Nurkic
  • Injuries  - Mike Miller (Personal, Day-to-Day), Gary Harris (Ankle, Out Indefinitely), Darrell Arthur (Knee, Out Indefinitely), Will Barton (Ankle, Questionable)

Oklahoma City Thunder:

  • PG - Russell Westbrook
  • SG - Victor Oladipo
  • SF - Andre Roberson
  • PF - Domantas Sabonis
  • C - Steven Adams
  • Injuries - Semaj Christon (Concussion, Day-to-Day), Cameron Payne (Foot, Out Indefinitely)

Detroit Pistons

Saturday, 26 November 2016 at 08:00 PM ET Home

Finally the Thunder wrap up their week at home against the Detroit Pistons (6-8, 1-7 Away) in the second game of a back-to-back. The last time the Thunder played the Pistons was on November 14 in Auburn Hills and the Thunder were blown out 104-88. Russell Westbrook lead the Thunder in scoring with 33 points to go along with 15 rebounds and 8 assists. Unfortunately for the Thunder they were unable to get any production from any other members of the starting unit as they were all held to single digit scoring. For Detroit a combination of Tobias Harris (22 points) and Aron Baynes (20 points) were a major factor in the blowout against Oklahoma City. With such an abysmal record on the road and the fact that the Thunder are so strong at home this should be an easier game for Oklahoma City. Coupled with the fact that every other starter besides Westbrook should break double digits in scoring.

Projected Starting Lineups:

Detroit Pistons:

  • PG - Ish Smith
  • SG - Kentavious Caldwell-Pope
  • SF - Tobias Harris
  • PF - Marcus Morris
  • C - Andre Drummond
  • Injuries  - Reggie Jackson (Knee, Out Indefinitely)

Oklahoma City Thunder:

  • PG - Russell Westbrook
  • SG - Victor Oladipo
  • SF - Andre Roberson
  • PF - Domantas Sabonis
  • C - Steven Adams
