Don’t look now, but the Raptors are on a 6 game win streak. Following the franchise-high, 44 point victory against the Hawks, the Raps’ will be looking to extend their streak, with three games on the table this week.

The Raptors took care of business last week, with Lowry leading the team in assists in every game, along with leading the team in points in every game besides the game against Atlanta. With the Cavaliers coming up Monday, the Raptors will be facing a familiar foe and one that they are yet to defeat this year.

Cleveland Cavaliers

Monday, 5 December 2016 at 07:30 PM ET Home

In the two previous matchups, the Raptors have fallen to the Cavs. However, both games were by narrow margins; 94-91, 121-117.

On the bright side (for the Raptors), the Cavs have dropped three straight, with the three losses coming against the Bucks, the Clippers, and the Bulls.

However, Cleveland played the Bulls on Monday, and they’ve had the weekend off to recharge and recuperate for the game against the Raptors. You know that they have this game circled on their calendar now.

It’s never easy with this Cavs team. They come at you in so many different ways, and they have so many different weapons on both sides of the ball. Expect both teams to come out firing in this matchup. This can be a statement game for either team, and it’s one that the Raptors will take advantage of.

Minnesota Timberwolves

I will never forget the game when Towns dropped 35 on us last year and handed us a much deserved L. It was a cold night in Toronto, February 10th to be exact. I had never watched Towns in a full game setting, previously to that matchup. Boy, was I shocked.

Despite the explosion of KAT on us last year, the eyes will always be on Wiggins when Minnesota is in town. Growing up just a couple of short hours from me, it’s mind-blowing to see how much he’s improved, and how quietly he’s been developing his game.

From the high-flying antics of Zach Lavine to the unique court vision of Ricky Rubio, this Minnesota team can be a handful to contain. Luckily, I think the Raptors have the depth to do it. This is going to be a close game, and it’s going to be a great one to watch, but I believe the Raptors depth will be able to outlast Minnesota and redeem ourselves from the massacre that was handed to us, by the hands of a 19-year-old.

Toronto 97 - 91 Minnesota

Boston Celtics

Friday, 9 December 2016 at 07:30 PM ET Away

Despite playing the Nuggets and Kings TWICE, we have yet to see a game with the Celtics. On Friday, the Raptors homestand comes to an end, as they fly to Boston for a highly anticipated matchup with Brad Stevens’ crew.

Toronto was able to snag 3 out of the 4 matchups last year, and none of them were that close. If you’re thinking of a “key to the game”, it’s simple; stop Isaiah Thomas. He led his team in points every game against us last year, and averaged almost 10 assists amongst the span of the 4 games.

To add to that, this is a well-coached team, and they don’t make a lot of mistakes. They’re committed to defense, they have a dangerous new weapon in Al Horford, and they’re quietly sitting in 3rd amongst the Eastern contenders.

If I had to make a bold prediction, sadly, I believe that this will be the game that breaks the Raptors streak. But I’m not heartbroken over this. When it’s all said and done, I think that this 4-game season series will be one of the best in the East, with it all beginning Friday night in Boston. I just hope that the Raptors can prove me wrong.
