The Phoenix Suns have formally announced that point guard Brandon Knight has suffered a torn ACL in his left knee. Knight, 25, will undergo surgery after an examination with Head Team Physician Dr. Tom Carter. The injury was sustained last week when Knight was playing in Southern Florida, according to the team release.

Over the course of his six-year career, Knight holds averages of 15.2 points, 3.3 rebounds, and 4.3 assists in 382 games with the Milwaukee Bucks, Detroit Pistons, and Phoenix Suns.

Last season, his third with the Suns, Knight averaged 11.0 points, 2.2 rebounds, and 2.4 assists over the course of 54 games.
