2K Games announced today, in a semi-hilarious advertisement, that NBA legend Shaquille O'Neal will be the cover athlete. The advertisement, shown above, features Kobe Bryant trolling Shaq by editing the text on the teleprompter and Shaq swears his revenge. Besides the comedy, the advertisement itself does not provide much information on any of the features of the game but NBA 2K's website does break down the differences between each version of their upcoming installment.
The standard edition of NBA 2K18 does not have an announced cover athlete yet but is the cheapest of the three options at $60.00. This version of the game also comes with codes for 5000 VC, 10 Weekly MyTeam packs and a selection of MyPlayer Apparel.
The next step up is the Legend Edition of NBA 2K18, which features O'Neal in his Miami Heat uniform, will be priced at $100.00 and appears to be the only edition where physical copies are available anywhere either in store or online.
