Post-trade deadline petty, bromances, and other things that make the NBA great.
Post-trade deadline petty, bromances, and other things that make the NBA great.
So many things happen during an NBA week. Last week was trade deadline week. The Cavs had one of the most dramatic roster changes at the trade deadline that we've seen in a while. Woj had NBA Twitter glued to their phones for an hour. With people hiding at their jobs.
Post trade deadline petty
When new players join their new team new players typically give generic responses as to how excited they are to be there and usual nonanswer answer. Our favorite ex-Cavs IT and Jae took the fun road. The petty road.
Jae Crowder is now in Utah and having "fun" playing basketball within a "system."
IT is a Laker and has his joy back and finally got that practice he's been wanting
These quotes give a strong indication that this experiment did not go well in Cleveland. While we all will miss tuning into Cavs games to see them implode and watch for passive aggressive LeBron tweets. I can admit the addition of Larry Nance Jr and Jordan Clarkson has made this new look Cavs team somewhat tolerable on the eyes.
Well, all's well that ends well. Kind of.
Shout out to the sports gods
The sports gods knew they were giving us a competent Cavs team, so in exchange, we got a Dwyane Wade Miami return. After a 2 year very profitable study abroad trip. The fans got what they wanted really wanted, the Dwyane Wade Miami Vice jersey.
Business decisions were made
In life, we are faced with decisions. The same can be said for basketball. You are faced with all sorts of decisions. The biggest one to contest this dunk or to not contest this dunk. That is the question.
Nicolas Batum had to answer that question when Donovan Mitchell was coming for the rim like a man possessed. Mr. Batum made the wise choice to get out of the way.
The NBA Tunnel Cat Walk has seen some very interesting fashion choices. This week Swaggy P and Lauri Markkanen pulled out their finest sweatsuits.
Comfort is the most important part of fashion and I believe they both accomplished that.
And rookies:
It's always great to see everyone getting along.
