NBA Shenanigans: All-Star Weekend and Other Things

It was All-Star weekend in the Association. There is no NBA at the moment, Lord carry us now, but the weekend gave us just enough to last us until Thursday.

Speculation time

Taking small interactions between NBA players and running with it is a gift and a small curse. A gift because of those detective skills cultivated by years of Law and Order comb over every interaction looking for clues. A curse, because 97% of the time nothing comes from this speculation. The NBA season is a long one and fans need ways to entertain themselves. With all the stars hanging out together and having fun in LA is speculation breeding ground. We over at NBA Twitter connected the dots, both seen and unseen.

Steph and Giannis talking about leadership:

"You guys look like you're having fun out there." Giannis wants to have fun. Giannis to the Warriors confirmed.

LeBron had a lot to say about LA:

LeBron said LA is built for stars. LeBron is a star. LeBron to LA confirmed.

There's usually Paul Geroge to LA speculation especially since the game was in LA, but Russ killed the fun:

Reunited, and it feels so good

A lot of dynamic duos reunited over the weekend. That is the true meaning of All-Star weekend, bringing people together.

Lebron and Kyrie. I would also like to point out that Kevin Love was there too. Right next to Kyrie.

KD and Russ getting along:

Kobe and Shaq:

Kevin McHale and Larry Bird:

Klay Thompson and himself:

Bromances

This week in Bromances: Anthony Davis and Boogie Cousins. Boogie was unable to play in the All-Star game due to injury, but AD wore his jersey the first half of the game.

Jimmy Butler: Hero

Jimmy Butler was selected to be in the All-Star game but never played. It could be attributed to the fact that he was tired, he does play for a coach that believes players should play all 60 minutes of a 48-minute game. Or that LA nightlife is undefeated.

Being selected for the All-Star game > playing in the game. I'm not even mad at him. Lou Will, on the other hand, had a few words.

Jimmy Butler is the best.

Protect Kevin Love

He has been through it all this season and has kept his sense of humor. #Lovers join the hive.

Area 21, has to go

No one asked for this:

Athletes, they're just like us

This week Kevin Durant provides us with an excellent lesson. If no one else sees you putting in the work, you see you putting in the work. Sometimes you have to pat yourself on the back for a job well done.

They let down their parents too:

And rep their alma maters just as hard, and if not harder than we do:
