Finals matchups tend to mean lots of acquisitions, so let's look at those back-to-backs and try to
squeeze all we can out of the wire this week.
First off, the Clippers and the Sixers only play 2 games this week, and they are not back-to-backs.
Second, there are no Monday/Tuesday, Thursday/Friday or Saturday/Sunday back-to-backs. Finally,
there is only one game Monday where the Nets host the Blazers, and only two games on Thursday
featuring the Warriors hosting the Blazers, and Miami hosting the Bulls.
Bismack Biyombo (4% ownership) is worth an add for blocks and rebounds depending on how
long he's out for this broken nose. Big Al and Cody Zeller are out, and the Hornets are desperate for
size. Biyombo has hit averages of 2.6 blocks, 9.0 rebounds in 26.4 minutes in his last five games. His
lack of scoring and mediocre free throw percentage should be noted.
Marvin Williams (18% ownership) is also seeing increased minutes and is reliable in the threes and
rebounds categories, but he is really starting to come alive across the board. In his last five games, he
averages 1.6 threes, 6.0 rebounds, 1.4 steals, 1.0 blocks and 13.2 points. That's solid stat-padding for a
four game week from Charlotte.
The Hornets play a back-to-back set for Tuesday/Wednesday, and finish the week with games Friday
and Sunday
Zach Lavine (24% ownership) is putting up numbers worthy of a roster spot, and might be your
best bet for points and assists. He's hit averages of 16.2 points, 1.0 threes, 4.6 assists and 4.8 rebounds
over his last five. However, as a rookie his assist to turnover ratio is getting close to 1:1 on the season,
and he can tank your field goal percentage.
Chase Budinger (23% ownership) continues to be a solid play as well with so much of the
Minnesota team sitting right now. He can help you with threes, points and some rebounds.
Over his last five, he boasts a consistent 15.6 points, 1.6 threes and 5.2 rebounds. Additionally, he is
much more reliable than Justin Hamilton and Adreian Payne.
The Wolves play a Tuesday/Wednesday set, as well as Friday/Saturday, making them a priority team
to target for waivers this week.
Ray McCallum (10% ownership) is gaining some consistency, albeit slowly. Over his last five, he
has posted 10.0 points, 1.0 three, 4.8 assists, 3.6 rebounds and 1.2 steals, but his percentages can do
some damage to your team. The Kings play the Tuesday/Wednesday set, as well as Friday and
Sunday.
Boris Diaw (23% ownership) could see additional usage going forward with Splitter out a few
games. He has been fairly consistent for some time now, even within Pop's rotations. Over his last five
he's tallied 9.4 points, 4.4 rebounds, 2.6 assists and 1.0 threes, so he can help you pad those
categories. San Antonio plays the Tuesday/Wednesday set, along with Friday as Sunday.
Patrick Patterson (23% ownership) could see a boost in stats with Amir Johnson sidelined. He is
mostly for rebounds, but he can contribute across the board. His last five games have been mediocre at best
with 5.2 points, 5.2 rebounds, 3.6 assists and 1.2 steals, but he is generally a very consistent player when given the playing time.
Toronto only has three games this week, starting Wednesday, but with an alluring Friday/Saturday set
for catching up later in the week.
Aaron Gordon (11% ownership) just cashed in on his first career double-double on Saturday, and
his minutes have almost tripled in the past two games. He appears to be healthy again, and could
continue to play over Channing Frye and Kyle O'Quinn until the season wraps up. In these last two
games, Gordon averaged 8.5 points, 9.0 rebounds, 1.5 assists, 1.0 steal, 1.0 block and 0.5 threes, and if
your looking for a high risk, high reward play he could make some noise for you. The Magic play
Wednesday along with a Friday/Saturday back-to-back.
Shane Larkin (6% ownership) was really showing off Sunday against Philadelphia. He tallied a
double-double as well with 15 points, 11 rebounds, 7 assists and 1 steal on 50% field goal shooting
and seven of eight from the line for 88%. It would be unwise to rely on this moving forward, but he
chips in across the board and his minutes have been slowly climbing this month. He has the chance to
see this kind of usage moving forward, and like Gordon could turn out to be a solid risk. The Knicks
play Wednesday with a back-to-back set Friday/Saturday.
Happy waiver hunting, folks, and start planning for next year's draft!
