This week we look at the rotations still being decided and players that have been or could soon be getting a lot more minutes and usage.
Gary Harris 25% ownership
Monday Wednesday Friday Sunday
With Gallinari out the surprisingly consistent Gary Harris could see a modest bump in value. He has made strides to improve on his consistency, his steals have gone up and while the stats might not jump out at you, a lot of teams may benefit more from reliability than upside at this point. Deeper leagues, or those hunting for more upside could make a speculative add on DJ Augustin (7% ownership).
Doug McDermott 22% ownership
Tuesday Wednesday Saturday
McDermott has hit 1.8 three's since the break and scored 16.3 points, far above his 9.2 points per game on the season. The only thing to worry about here is the return of Mirotic, but McBuckets should hold some strong value for standard league teams in need of points and threes until then.
E'Twaun Moore 11% ownership
Tuesday Wednesday Saturday
The occasional dud can make him frustrating to own, but as averages go he definitely holds more value than his ownership percentage. The low-end threes and steals are a bit more reliable than his points output, but the opportunity will continue to be there when Chicago has him replacing Jimmy Butler and the occasional Derek Rose rest nights.
Gerald Henderson 9% ownership
Tuesday Wednesday Friday Sunday
The scrappy veteran has only missed double-digit scoring once this month, and shot around 50% since the break, but Henderson just doesn't do much else. Regardless, it looks like Allen Crabbe (13% ownership) will be forced out of standard league value as long as Henderson continues this streak of consistency.
Wayne Ellington 4% ownership
Monday Tuesday Friday Saturday
Ellington isn't going to surprise you, but he has been a consistent source of threes and points for a depleted Brooklyn roster. Deeper leagues can take a flier on Markel Brown (3% ownership) who only recently made his way into rotation following the buy-out of Joe Johnson.
Shabazz Muhammed 7% ownership
Wednesday Friday Saturday
Like most of the young Timberwolves, Muhammed has seen an increase in playing time since the All-Star break. He really only produces points and rebounds consistently, but he could maintain some standard league value as a scorer off the bench for the Wolves.
JayMychal Green 4% ownership
Monday Wednesday Friday Sunday
A more speculative add here, but with Brandan Wright likely playing it safe with a Grade-1 MCL sprain the Grizzlies are spread thin for bigs. He has a hard time producing in 20 minutes or under, and the Grizzlies could opt for more small-ball so there's some risk to be had here.
Josh Richardson 1% ownership
Tuesday Thursday Friday Sunday
With Tyler Johnson and Beno Udrih likely missing the remainder of the season, Josh Richardson has an opportunity for standard league considerations. To be clear there appears to be limited upside, but he has assumed backup point-guard position and near 30 minutes since the break.
Good luck in the playoff push, streamers, and see you back next week!
