Fantasy basketball managers in head-to-head leagues are always searching for a games played advantage, and here's how you can make it happen in week 9.

Fantasy basketball managers are gearing up for Week 9. It is hard to believe that much of the season is gone already. All-Star voting ends Tuesday and the game is three weeks away. The races in fantasy should be heating up.

One way to gain an advantage in head-to-head leagues is to maximize games played. Today, we will use the Advanced Schedule Grid to do just that.

Teams that play four times (19)

Hawks, Celtics, Nets, Bulls, Nuggets, Pistons, Warriors, Rockets, Clippers, Heat, Bucks, Timberwolves, Pelicans, Knicks, Sixers, Kings, Raptors, Grizzlies, Thunder.

Teams that play three times (10)

Hornets, Cavaliers, Pacers, Lakers, Magic, Suns, Trail Blazers, Spurs, Jazz, Wizards.

Team that plays twice (1)

Mavericks.

Fantasy basketball talking points

  1. Only three weeks remain in the first half of the schedule, so fantasy managers should be looking to solidify their rosters. Now is the time to make a trade or add pieces to make a push for the title.
  2. Be sure to stay on top of the news. The NBA has rescheduled some games and COVID issues could pop up at any moment. Be on your toes.
  3. Nerlens Noel (52 percent rostered) does not qualify for streaming, but is available in a ton of leagues. He produces outstanding steals and blocks, plus should be in line for more minutes with Mitchell Robinson out.
  4. The Brooklyn Nets and the Sacramento Kings have the best schedule of the week as they play four times and avoid the two heaviest schedule days.
  5. The Dallas Mavericks have the worst slate. It features two games both on the days with double-digit contests.

Top streaming options for Week 9 (rostered in under 50% of Yahoo Leagues)

Dillon Brooks, Memphis Grizzlies (43%), SG/SF

Brooks averages 15.4 points, 2.0 3-pointers, and 1.3 steals per game on the season. His steal might drop, but the 25-year-old will pile on the points and threes. Add him all leagues.
