Fantasy Basketball Week 7 Schedule Preview (Monday-Thursday)

Fantasy basketball managers looking to gain an advantage in games played in head-to-head league for week 7 should look no further than this weekly preview.

Fantasy basketball managers looking to gain an advantage in games played in head-to-head league for week 7 should look no further than this weekly preview.

The Grizzlies missed five straight games but returned to action on Saturday night. They used a total team effort to top the Spurs after an extended absence. Fantasy managers should feel comfortable rolling with Ja Morant, Dillion Brooks, Kyle Anderson, and Brandon Clarke this week.

Keep an eye on the injury report, though. Any team could be the next one hit hard by COVID and have their games postponed. That is just the nature of this crazy season in 2021.

Hopefully, the schedule holds this week. Today, we will use the Advanced Schedule Grid to help fantasy managers maximize their games in Week 7.

Teams that play four times (22)

Hawks, Celtics, Hornets, Bulls, Cavaliers, Mavericks, Pistons, Rockets, Pacers, Clippers, Grizzlies, Heat, Bucks, Timberwolves, Pelicans, Knicks, Thunder, Suns, Blazers, Kings, Jazz, Wizards.

Teams that play three times (8)

Nets, Nuggets, Warriors, Lakers, Magic, 76ers, Spurs, Raptors.

Fantasy basketball talking points

  1. Kevin Durant is unbelievable. The 32-year-old superstar missed an entire season recovering from a torn Achilles only to come back and average over 30 points per game on incredible efficiency. Durant is in the race for the number one spot in fantasy after many wrote him off heading into the season.
  2. Jimmy Butler missed ten straight games in the health and safety protocols only to drop 30 points in his return. It was arguably Butler’s best game of the season. Fantasy managers will see a host of players returning from the protocols, but most will struggle out of the gate. Proceed with caution.
  3. Be on the lookout for ways to improve your roster. Managers should know their team’s strengths and weaknesses and be looking to plug holes at this point in the season.
  4. The Utah Jazz have the best schedules of the week. They play four times with three of those coming on light schedule days.
  5. The San Antonio Spurs have the worst schedule featuring three games on high volume days.
