Weekly lock leagues

Tips for the week: 13 teams have the coveted four games, and just the San Antonio Spurs have two tilts this week.  I would avoid all Spurs in my lineup except LaMarcus Aldridge in deeper leagues.

Note: 16 teams play three games this week, so your lineup likely features players from this group.  Hopefully, the majority is four-game guys, but that does not always work out.

Top 10 potential pickups playing four games:  (All ownership percentages based on ESPN leagues and under 40 percent owned was the cut-off for available on the waiver wire)

  1. Joe Ingles- Utah Jazz (33.6%)- The most underrated player in fantasy. Provides enough assists, rebounds, 3-pointers made and steals to a positive contributor plus double-digit points and solid percentages.
  2. Wesley Matthews- Dallas Mavericks (38.5%)- Matthews contributes in almost every category and should be owned in every league.
  3. Taurean Prince- Atlanta Hawks (24.3%)- Say anything you want about Prince, but he is a top 100 fantasy player given his solid contributions in every category.  Add him and own him with confidence.
  4. Ish Smith- Detroit Pistons (28.4%)- Should give you 5.5 assists, 1.0 steal, 3.0 rebounds, and 12 points per game over the four games.
  5. Michael Kidd-Gilchrist- Charlotte Hornets (7.1%)- Slowing working his way back into form and will be worth owning the rest of the season.

  7. Terry Rozier- Boston Celtics (33.6%)- Coming off three fantastic performances with Kyrie Irving out, but should go back to middling production when he returns. The home run or strike out start of the week.
  8. Al-Farouq Aminu- Portland Trail Blazers (19.4%)- Rebounds, 3’s, steals, blocks target who can score double-digit points. Not sexy, but a solid add for four games.
  9. Bismack Biyombo- Orlando Magic (20.3%)- Nikola Vucevic is getting closer to returning, but Biyombo could be a game charger in rebounds and blocks if given the proper minutes.
