Serge Ibaka has to file for Canadian residency, the Boogie Cousins era is over in Sacramento and we're still a week off from the trade deadline. The excitement (or perhaps fear for Sacramento fans) is just starting but fantasy basketball doesn't stop so let's take a look at the waivers. Games don't start until Thursday but the schedule is much more balanced this week, you will likely be able to stream guys in every day except maybe Friday and we even have some B2B's to choose from.
Andre Roberson 11% ownership
He's been largely underwhelming all year long, but the recent rise in rebounds thanks the Kanter's emotional instability is allowing his value to rise into standard league relevancy. The points are nothing to rely on but in his last five games he's averaged 7.2 rebounds, 1.3 steals and 1.4 blocks in 32 minutes. There is no reason those numbers would decrease significantly unless the Thunder makes some moves this week. OKC plays two games on Friday and Sunday.
Buddy Hield 34% ownership
Buddy should see an increase in minutes on his new team and it would appear the King's have high hopes for him. His inconsistencies will likely continue making him difficult to own for a lack of efficiency, but he could have some standard league value, especially for a punt-FG% build. In 20.4 minutes on the season he has only been able to average 8.6 points with 1.6 threes on 39% shooting and not much else, but has had stretches where he was worth owning. The Kings will play two games on Thursday and Saturday, as well the following Monday.
Terrence Ross 23% ownership
It's doubtful he's the kind of add that will stay on your roster for any long period of time, but his player identity is very well established and it looks like he's in a better position fantasy-wise on the Magic. He's a streaky points and threes streamer averaging 10.4 points and 1.8 threes in 22 minutes on the year. Orlando plays two games on Thursday and Saturday.
Willie Cauley-Stein 17% ownership
WCS has actually only seen a limited increase in minutes in games without Boogie. He had showcased some defensive prowess last year and should be a steady contributor for blocks and boards if he can get around that 25 minute mark. If Trill doesn't see an increased role it will likely be Anthony Tolliver (3%) to get more run. In 17 minutes per game over the last two weeks he has averaged 9.3 points, 4.1 rebounds, 0.9 steals and 0.5 blocks and the Kings play two games on Thursday and Saturday, as well the following Monday.
Ish Smith 20% ownership
He's been seeing minutes even with Reggie Jackson healthy and the Pistons might make some moves. At most he's a speculative add, but he's in good position for an assist-specialist streamer type. In 23.5 minutes per game this season he has averaged 8.4 points, 4.8 assists and 0.7 steals on 44.5% shooting, adding 1.4 turnovers. The Pistons play two games on Thursday and Sunday.
