Fantasy basketball deep league suggestions for games between the 7th and 13th of November.

We're now two weeks into the fantasy basketball season. Everybody has rushed to claim all of the early season bloomers off the waiver wire, so we're here to see what's left.

Here's our list of deep league relevant players, who are owned in less than 10% of Yahoo leagues.

Langston Galloway (New Orleans Pelicans, PG/SG)

Owned in 4% of Yahoo leagues.
4 games scheduled between Monday 7th November and Sunday 13th November.

Why is Langston worth adding?
The Pelicans have just waived Lance Stephenson, which puts the 27 minutes he has been averaging up for grabs. Minutes that Langston has grabbed with both hands, averaging 30 minutes, 16 points and 4 3PM over his past two games. Small sample size, I know, but it’s encouraging.

Iman Shumpert (Cleveland Cavaliers, SG/SF)

Owned in 5% of Yahoo leagues.
3 games scheduled between Monday 7th November and Sunday 13th November.

Why is Iman worth adding?
Iman quietly put up a nice fantasy basketball stat line over the past week, averaging 10 PTS, 1.7 3PM, 1.3 STL, and has even played a few minutes at back-up point guard. He’s a nice option if you’re in need of 3PM and STL this week.

Channing Frye (Cleveland Cavaliers, PF/C)

Owned in 3% of Yahoo leagues.
3 games scheduled between Monday 7th November and Sunday 13th November.

Why is Channing worth adding?
Frye has returned to the Cavaliers bench, and has gotten straight back into what he’s being paid to do - hit wide open 3s. Over the past 3 games he has put up 11.3 PTS and 2.7 3PM. He’ll continue getting bench minutes given how shallow Cleveland are at the center spot.

Terrence Ross (Toronto Raptors, SG/SF)

Owned in 8% of Yahoo leagues.
3 games scheduled between Monday 7th November and Sunday 13th November.

Why is Terrence worth adding?
Terrance is as streaky as they come, but he’s currently going through a nice patch, averaging 12.5 PTS, 2 3PM and 1.5 STL over his past 4 games. Keep riding the hot hand (as hot as it can be, while sitting on the waiver wire of a 14+ team league).

Jon Leuer (Detroit Pistons, PF/C)

Owned in 9% of Yahoo leagues.
4 games scheduled between Monday 7th November and Sunday 13th November.

Why is Jon worth adding?
Leuer hasn’t played below 20 minutes in any of his 6 games so far this season, giving Stan Van Gundy a weapon he hasn’t had for a while - a big man who can hit FTs and hit an outside shot. He won’t be breaking into the starting lineup any time soon, but he’s a nice option if you’re looking for a big man who can block shots, hit 3s and won’t hurt your FT%.

Watch List Candidates

Places to keep an eye on to see how their situation plays out.

Domantas Sabonis (Oklahoma City Thunder, PF)

Owned in 3% of Yahoo leagues.
4 games scheduled between Monday 7th November and Sunday 13th November.

Why is Domantas worth watching?
I was a big fan of Sabonis on draft day and fully expected him to be eased into the rotation as the season progressed. Turns out I was wrong, as he has started all 6 games this season. He’s worth keeping an eye on, even though he has only averaged 22.6 minutes in those games.

Dwight Powell (Dallas Mavericks, PF)

Owned in 4% of Yahoo leagues.
2 games scheduled between Monday 7th November and Sunday 13th November.

Why is Dwight worth watching?
With Dirk being shut down for “the foreseeable future” one can assume that Powell would see an increase in playing time, but based on tonight’s game it looks like Dallas are going to run small by moving Barnes to PF and starting Justin Anderson at SF. That might work against smaller teams, but I’m expecting Powell to get more of a run when Dallas face teams with a big PF. Keep an eye on how long Dirk is out for and whether Barnes remains their PF over the next few games.
