Fantasy Basketball Week 13 Schedule Preview

Examining the Week 13 schedule to help fantasy basketball managers in head-to-head leagues maximize their games played in this matchup.

Week 13 brings a bit of a smaller slate, so streaming becomes important. Today, we attempt to maximize games played in your head-to-head leagues by taking advantage of the schedule.

Weekly lock leagues

Tips for the week: Just nine teams (Celtics, Bulls, Cavaliers, Pacers, Timberwolves, Thunder, Magic, 76ers, and Blazers) have four games in Week 13. The Hornets, Grizzlies, and Wizards feature just two contests. The remaining 18 organizations play three times.

Four-game players are a bit sparser this week, but grabbing one of the waiver wire could provide a massive advantage. It is difficult to recommend anyone with just two games given the injury to Bradley Beal. Ja Morant, Devonte Graham, and Jaren Jackson Jr. are considerations, but someone playing four games may be better.

Here is a look at the top ten streaming options that play four times and are owned in fewer than 50 percent of Yahoo Leagues.

  1. Markell Fultz, Orlando Magic, PG/SG (39%): Since Nov. 23, Fultz is averaging 11.8 points, 3.8 rebounds, 5.3 assists, and 1.3 steals per over 24 games.
  2. Kris Dunn, Chicago Bulls, PG/SG/SF (35%): Dunn is averaging over 2.0 steals per game. He throws in 3.5 rebounds and 3.3 assists to push him just outside the top 100 in per-game value on the season.
  3. Jarrett Culver, Minnesota Timberwolves, PG/SG/SF (39%): Culver has started the last seven games. In that time, he is averaging 14.0 points, 5.0 rebounds, 1.9 steals, and 1.1 blocks in 30.5 minutes per.
  4. Mattisse Thybullle, Philadelphia 76ers, SG/SF (6%): Thybulle is producing 1.4 steals and 0.7 blocks in under 18 minutes per game on the season. He should easily secure that playing time in Week 13.
  5. Darius Garland, Cleveland Cavaliers, PG (36%): Since Nov. 17, Garland is averaging 13.3 points, 3.1 assists, and 2.2 3-pointers made per game. Those numbers should only improve for the rookie point guard.
  6. Coby White, Chicago Bulls, PG (23%): White is a points, threes, and steals streamer.
  7. Cedi Osman, Cleveland Cavaliers, SF/PF (25%): Osman is averaging 11.9 points, 3.1 rebounds, 2.2 assists, 1.8 3-pointers made, 0.8 steals, and 0.4 blocks in 29.3 minutes since Nov. 24.
  8. Kent Bazemore, Portland Trail Blazers, SG/SF (23%): Bazemore is averaging 1.3 3-pointers made, 1.0 steal, and 0.7 blocks per game on the season.
  9. Daniel Theis, Boston Celtics, PF/C (12%): Theis is a rebounds (6.0) and blocks (1.4) add in standard leagues.
  10. Mo Bamba, Orlando Magic, C (6%): Bamba provides 5.1 rebounds and 1.3 blocks per game.

Daily roster changes

First, a word on the schedule itself: Wednesday (10) and Saturday (11) both feature double-digit games. That eliminates the streaming on those days, but the rest should be open for business.

Here is a look at the back-to-backs sets to help fantasy managers get two games out of one pickup.

Cleveland Cavaliers

Darius Garland (36%): Points and threes streamer.

Cedi Osman (25%): Points, threes, and steals add.

Looking ahead to Week 14

Unfortunately, there are no streaming opportunities here. Monday is a massive 14-game slate and there is only one contest on Tuesday of Week 14. Managers should use up their pickups in Week 13.

Final thoughts

That wraps it up. Be on the lookout for ways to improve your roster long-term too. The trade deadline in real life and fantasy is fast approaching.
