Week 8 is here and it provides a fantastic week for streaming. Our goal is to maximize games played in head-to-head leagues. For any schedule inquiries check out our Advanced Schedule Grid.
Weekly lock leagues
Tips for the week: 16 teams (Hawks, Hornets, Bulls, Cavaliers, Nuggets, Warriors, Rockets, Pacers, Clippers, Grizzlies, Bucks, Pelicans, Knicks, Magic, 76ers, and Kings) that play four games. There are four teams (Mavericks, Blazers, Spurs, and Wizards) that only have two in Week 8. The remaining ten organizations play three times.
Outside of Luka Doncic, Kristaps Porzingis, Damian Lillard, C.J. McCollum, LaMarcus Aldridge, DeMar DeRozan, and Bradley Beal, I would not start anyone playing just twice in a weekly lock league. Some of the players listed above may be the fence depending on what four game options are available.
Here is a look at the top ten streaming options that play four times and are owned in fewer than 50 percent of Yahoo Leagues.
- Danuel House Jr, Houston Rockets, SG/SF (48%): House is a top 100 player in per-game value this season. He is shooting well plus averaging 12.1 points, 4.4 rebounds, 1.2 steals, 0.6 blocks, and 2.5 3-pointers made per game. House continues to play well and be underrated in fantasy.
- Alec Burks, Golden State Warriors, PG/SG (48%): Burks is playing a consistent 30 minutes per game. He is averaging 15.0 points, 1.4 3-pointers made, 4.4 rebounds, and 1.0 steal to make him a player that should be owned in standard leagues.
- Kris Dunn, Chicago Bulls, PG (34%): Dunn is averaging 2.0 steals per game on the season. That plus his other stats place him inside the top-150 on the season. His ability to swing one category makes him a fantastic pickup.
- Terrance Ross, Orlando Magic, SG/SF (47%): Ross is a points and threes guy that averages over one steal per game. He continues to pick it up after a slow start too.
- Josh Hart, New Orleans Pelicans, SG/SF (41%): Hart is playing well in New Orleans. He is another across the board contributor. Hart is putting up 11.2 points, 6.2 rebounds, 1.1 steals, and 2.2 3-pointers per game.
- Darius Garland, Cleveland Cavaliers, PG (21%): Garland is coming on. In his last eight games, the rookie is averaging 14.1 points and 2.5 3-pointers made. He is a fantastic shooter that should only improve as the season progresses.
- Willie Cauley-Stein, Golden State Warriors, PF/C (46%): WCS is averaging 1.0 steal, 1.2 blocks, and 6.5 rebounds per game in 22.3 minutes for the Warriors this season.
- Jae Crowder, Memphis Grizzlies, SF/PF (34%): Crowder is playing well in Memphis. He is averaging 10.9 points, 5.8 rebounds, 0.9 steals, and 2.2 3-pointers made. That makes him a fantastic streamer for plenty of value.
- Glenn Robinson III, Golden State Warriors, SG/SF (26%): GRIII is averaging 11.8 points, 4.6 rebounds, 1.3 threes, and 0.9 steals per game this season. He continues to play 30-plus minutes per game for the Dubs.
- Ivica Zubac, LA Clippers, C (28%): Zubac is averaging 6.7 rebounds and 1.0 block per game with fantastic percentages on the season.
Daily roster changes
First, a word on the schedule itself: There are three days where streaming is difficult in Week 8. There are 11 games on Wednesday. Monday and Friday each have nine. That means your roster will likely be full on those days. Let’s eliminate them and look at the best streaming options.
Team with the best schedule: The Denver Nuggets have the top schedule because they play four times all on light schedule days.

Looking ahead to Week 9

Final thoughts
That wraps up our look at Week 8. It should be a good week for maximizing your games played. Good luck.
