Welcome to a special finals edition of deep league relevant. If you’ve made it this far you know the importance of getting the most out of your week. Today instead of specifying individual players we’re going to examine the week 23 schedule and tell you how players from certain teams can contribute to getting you that ever important win.

It’s important to note that even though the players mentioned are specifically for deep leagues (those playing in 12-14 team leagues) the general principle still applies to those in standard leagues.

Atlanta Hawks have a back-to-back on Monday-Tuesday

Atlanta have very little to play for this week having already clinched the top seed in the East. They’ve shown their willingness to rest players after resting their entire starting 5 in Charlotte only a few days ago. It’s worth taking a punt on Kent Bazemore (owned in 3% of Yahoo leagues) and Mike Muscala (owned in 1% of Yahoo leagues) given Atlanta’s start to the week in case they decide to rest 1 or 2 more starters during their Monday-Tuesday back-to-back.

Charlotte’s starting big men are either injured or playing hurt

Charlotte are still desperate to prove that this season wasn’t a waste and are pushing for that 8th seed. With injuries to Zeller, MKG and Jefferson playing on one leg it opens playing time for players like Marvin Williams (12% owned in Yahoo leagues) who has averaged 10 points, 7 rebounds and 2 threes over his past 4 games and Bismack Biyombo (2% owned in Yahoo leagues) who has averaged 7 rebounds and 2.3 blocks over the same time span.

They have 4 games this week including games against Detroit and Philadelphia.

Golden State Warriors and Miami Heat play on Tuesday and Thursday

Why is this important? Because there are only 4 games scheduled for Tuesday and only 3 on Thursday. The more guaranteed games you get into your roster this week the more chance you get of accumulating stats.

Players like Henry Walker (owned in 6% of Yahoo leagues) could help if you’re in need of threes and steals, averaging 3.3 steals and 1.5 blocks over his past 4 games and Udonis Haslem (owned in 1% of Yahoo leagues), who has put up 9 points, 8.3 rebounds and solid shooting percentages while filling in for Whiteside are worth a look at for Miami.

Golden State are primed to start resting a few players so keep an eye on Leandro Barbosa (owned in 1% of Yahoo leagues) if Steph Curry takes a seat for a game or two.

Clippers, Warriors, Heat, 76ers and Jazz finish the week with a back-to-back on Saturday and Sunday

If you’re in need of stats to end the week and you only have one transaction left it makes sense to use it on a player who is going to give you 2 games instead of 1. We’ve already covered the Heat and Warriors, so let’s look at players from the other 3 teams.

Austin Rivers (owned in 2% of Yahoo leagues) has averaged 14 points, 3 rebounds and 3 assists over his past 3 games. We’re going to ignore his high FG% because it’s Austin Rivers, but he’s worth a look at if you’re in need of some points. Utah have all-rounders like Joe Ingles (owned in 1% of Yahoo leagues) and Rodney Hood (owned in 6% of Yahoo leagues) still available on most deep league waiver wires whereas the 76ers are a haven for counting stats given their fast-tempo pace.

Guys like Luc Richard Mbah a Moute (owned in 6% of Yahoo leagues), Isaiah Canaan (owned in 13% of Yahoo leagues) and Hollis Thompson (owned in 4% of Yahoo leagues) can all contribute if needed.
