A week is a long time in fantasy basketball. Nate Robinson is no longer in the NBA, Marvin Williams is now good at basketball and the Knicks have a winning record.

Today we’re going to dig a little deeper in an attempt to find players owned in 11% or less of Yahoo leagues.

Evan Fournier (Orlando Magic, SG)

Owned in 9% of Yahoo leagues.
4 games scheduled between Monday 2nd November and Sunday 8th November.

Why is Evan worth adding?
Whatever you do, do not Google Image search Evan’s surname. I’m serious. Don’t do it.

Now that we have that out of the way, Evan has made the most out of Orlando’s new 3 guard starting 5 putting up averages of 15 PTS, 4.7 REB, 2 AST, 1.3 STL and 1.3 3PM over the past 3 games. So long as he keeps getting 30 minutes a game and you can afford to take the FG% hit he’s worth the add and has some long-term appeal.

Kent Bazemore (Atlanta Hawks, SG/SF)

Owned in 11% of Yahoo leagues.
4 games scheduled between Monday 2nd November and Sunday 8th November.

Why is Kent worth adding?
I’m going to dust off my notes from when I previewed the Atlanta Hawks on the Red Rock Fantasy Basketball Podcast earlier in the pre-season (which explains the extra analysis).

Kent played 7 games last season where he played 30 or more minutes, in those 7 games he averaged 11 PTS, 1 3PM, 5.5 REB, 2 AST, 1.3 STL and 1 BLK. In the first 4 games of the season Kent has averaged 11 PTS, 1.7 3PM, 5.2 REB, 2 AST, 1.2 STL and less than half a block. Do you see a pattern?

This tells us that Kent hasn’t improved, he’s just getting more minutes, which is going to happen while Korver is being eased into the season and Sefolosha starts getting more minutes into his legs.

There are also 2 versions of Kent: The regular Clark Kent that we saw in the first 2 games of the season (0 PTS, 5 PTS) and the Superman Kent that we’ve seen in the past 2 games (19 PTS, 20 PTS). There’s no guessing which Kent will show up so you have to take the good with the bad.

There’s still a good chance Kent remains the starter in Atlanta and is worth adding in deep leagues, just don’t expect 20 PTS from him regularly.

Will Barton (Denver Nuggets, SG/SF)

Owned in 3% of Yahoo leagues.
3 games scheduled between Monday 2nd November and Sunday 8th November.

Why is Will worth adding?
With Wilson Chandler still expected to miss time with his injury it's up to Gary Harris and Will Barton to duel it out for his minutes. To date it’s Barton who seems to be winning the battle with an average of 13 PTS, 4 REB, 1.7 STL and is clearly doing more with those minutes. Take a look at Barton as a short term option if you need some PTS and STL numbers.

DJ Augustin (Oklahoma City Thunder, PG)

Owned in 3% of Yahoo leagues.
4 games scheduled between Monday 2nd November and Sunday 8th November.

Why is DJ worth adding?
By now you should know what DJ is capable of. He’s a solid back-up PG who in the right system can get you good AST numbers off the bench. He’s in a great situation in Oklahoma where the offensive is run at a fast pace, which allows him to rack up those AST totals.

He’s also part of a second unit that can actually put the ball in the hoop, which gives him the freedom to also get off his own shot. If you’re in a deep league and looking for a steady flow of PTS, AST and 3PM then DJ is your guy, his current averages of 11 PTS, 4 AST, 2 3PM and 1 STL look sustainable in the long term.

If you want to go even deeper take a look at players like Jeremy Lamb (Charlotte Hornets, SG/SF, owned in 2% of Yahoo leagues), Jon Leuer (Pheonix Suns, PF/C, owned in 1% of Yahoo leagues) and Omri Casspi (Sacramento Kings, SF, owned in 1% of Yahoo leagues).
