Welcome to the Thanksgiving edition of deep league relevant.

Welcome to the Thanksgiving edition of deep league relevant. Today’s an appropriate time to sit back, reflect and be thankful for the following players, who at one stage of the season were available on the waiver wire in deep leagues and now own a spot in Yahoo’s top 100 rankings.

So thanks to Will Barton, Evan Fournier, Kent Bazemore, Marvin Williams, Jeremy Lamb and TJ McConnell!

Now onto what you came here for, to identify some deep league candidates.

Luis Scola (Toronto Raptors, PF/C)

Owned in 15% of Yahoo leagues.
3 games scheduled between Monday 23rd November and Sunday 29th November.

Why is Luis worth adding?
We’re going to touch on two players who stand to benefit the most from Jonas’ 6 week injury. The first is Scola. Luis has been averaging 10 PTS, 6 REB with just under 1 STL and 1 3PM a game in 23 minutes of playing time. His minutes should move up to 27-28 a game so an average of 12 PTS, 7 REB, 1 3PM and 1 STL over the next 6 weeks isn’t out of the question.

Bismack Biyombo (Toronto Raptors, PF/C)

Owned in 9% of Yahoo leagues.
3 games scheduled between Monday 23rd November and Sunday 29th November.

Why is Bismack worth adding?
Bismack is the other Raptors big man to benefit from Jonas’ injury and is the likely replacement for him in the starting line-up. Averages of 8-9 REB and 1-1.5 BLK over the next 6 weeks is gettable so if you’re in need of a REB and BLK specialist Biyombo is likely your best bet in deep leagues.

Gary Harris (Denver Nuggets, SG)

Owned in 8% of Yahoo leagues.
3 games scheduled between Monday 23rd November and Sunday 29th November.

Why is Gary worth adding?
Either Harris has recently learnt how to shoot or he’s in the middle of a hot streak. Over the last 7 days he put up averages of 16 PTS, 3 REB, 2 AST, 1.3 STL and 1.8 3PM on 57% FG and 80% FT. Impressive for a guy who isn’t known for putting the ball in the hoop. While I don’t see this as being sustainable long term it won’t be out of the question to see Harris end the season with a 12 PTS average.

Shane Larkin (Brooklyn Nets, PG)

Owned in 1% of Yahoo leagues.
3 games scheduled between Monday 23rd November and Sunday 29th November.

Why is Shane worth adding?
Over the past 7 days Shane has averaged 9 PTS, 4 AST, 2 STL and 1.5 3PM in 20 minutes of playing time. If you’re in need of some traditional PG stats (3PM, STL and AST) towards the end of the week then Shane is worth looking at for his Saturday-Sunday back-to-back.

If you want to go even deeper (for those in 16-20 team leagues) take a look at players like Ramon Sessions (Washington Wizards, PG, owned in 1% of Yahoo league), Nene Hilario (Washington Wizards, PF/C, owned in 6% of Yahoo leagues), OJ Mayo (Milwaukee Bucks, PG/SG, owned in 2% of Yahoo leagues), JaVale McGee (Dallas Mavericks, C, owned in 1% of Yahoo leagues) and Lavoy Allen (Indiana Pacers, PF/C, owned in 1% of Yahoo leagues).
