Deep League Relevant: 16th Nov - 22nd Nov

Welcome to a special Sunday morning edition of deep league relevant. Today we’re going to find players with 9% or less ownership in Yahoo leagues.

Cory Joseph (Toronto Raptors, PG)

Owned in 9% of Yahoo leagues.
4 games scheduled between Monday 16th November and Sunday 22nd November.

Why is Cory worth adding?
With Terrence Ross out indefinitely Toronto’s second unit scoring lies straight on the shoulders of Cory Joseph. In the 3 games so far without Ross he has averaged 13 PTS, 5 AST and 3 REB in 29 minutes. If you’re in need of PTS and AST Cory is worth adding until Ross returns.

Tyler Johnson (Miami Heat, PG/SG)

Owned in 4% of Yahoo leagues.
3 games scheduled between Monday 16th November and Sunday 22nd November.

Why is Tyler worth adding?
Tyler is set to benefit the most from the (not so) blockbuster trade that sent Chalmers and a bag of chips to Memphis for Udrih and a half eaten sandwich. In the post-Chalmers Miami era Johnson has been given 29 minutes a game averaging 13 PTS, 3 REB, 2.5 AST, 1 STL and 2 BLK.

Given this is a small sample size (2 games) with Green out for both games (and Wade out for another) it’s still worth a speculative add to see what Miami do with Udrih’s contract and whether Johnson can average 22 minutes a game moving forward.

Mario Chalmers (Memphis Grizzlies, PG)

Owned in 4% of Yahoo leagues.
3 games scheduled between Monday 16th November and Sunday 22nd November.

Why is Mario worth adding?
Another player worth a speculative add is Mario Chalmers. Memphis are desperate for outside shooting (so desperate that they traded for Chalmers less than a month into the season).

A new scenario could be enough to make Chalmers deep league relevant again and if his first game in a Memphis was anything to go by (11 PTS, 2 AST, 4 STL, 1 3PM) maybe people will finally stop yelling at him.

Omri Casspi (Sacramento Kings, SF)

Owned in 4% of Yahoo leagues.
3 games scheduled between Monday 16th November and Sunday 22nd November.

Why is Omri worth adding?
Omri has averaged 10 PTS, 6 REB, 1.3 3PM and 1 STL so far this season. While people on this list usually get added for their short-term appeal, Omri has been doing this all season. He’s not going to produce huge numbers, but the Kings trust him and stability is something the Kings need right now.
