Deep League Relevant: 14th Mar - 20th Mar

The fantasy gods have given us deep leaguers the ultimate gift: New, relevant players days before the start of the head-to-head playoffs!

The fantasy gods have given us deep leaguers the ultimate gift: New, relevant players days before the start of the head-to-head playoffs! Unfortunately Conley (a member of my team) and Chalmers were the sacrifices.

Today we go deep (and then a little deeper), looking for players owned in 9% or less of Yahoo leagues.

Ray McCallum (Memphis Grizzlies, PG)

Owned in 9% of Yahoo leagues.
4 games scheduled between Monday 14th March and Sunday 20th March.

Why is Ray worth adding?
We don't have much to go off with Ray, but in the 1 game he has played he put up 13 PTS, 3 3PM and 2 STL in 27 minutes of playing time. He didn't get much playing time on the Spurs and in the few games he started he didn't produce, but this is Memphis and with half a season of getting Popovich'ed and plenty of playing time available (at both PG and SG) he's primed for a late season run.

Briante Weber (Memphis Grizzlies, PG)

Owned in 4% of Yahoo leagues.
4 games scheduled between Monday 14th March and Sunday 20th March.

Why is Briante worth adding?
Memphis current first and second string PG rotation has played a combined total of 3 games. Yes, 3 games. They're desperate for warm bodies and while Briante hasn't put up impressive offensive numbers he has tallied 40 and 32 minutes of playing time. He has shown (in the very small 2 game sample size) to be a source of PG stats (5 AST, 2 STL) and is averaging 1 BLK and 4.5 REB a game. Briante is a good plan B if you missed out on McCallum.

Darrell Arthur (Denver Nuggets, PF/C)

Owned in 6% of Yahoo leagues.
4 games scheduled between Monday 14th March and Sunday 20th March.

Why is Darrell worth adding?
Denver starts the week with a B2B on Mon-Tue. Over the past 7 days he has averaged 13.3 PTS and 2.3 3PM on solid percentages in 27 minutes of playing time. He (along with any other player available on your waiver wire from Denver or Toronto) presents a nice opportunity to sneak some extra counting stats into your line-up to start the week.

Gerald Henderson (Portland Trail Blazers, SG/SF)

Owned in 8% of Yahoo leagues.
4 games scheduled between Monday 14th March and Sunday 20th March.

Why is Gerald worth adding?
Gerald is putting up nice numbers in limited playing time and is a decent source of counting stats having averaged 11.7 PTS, 3.7 REB, 2 AST and 1.7 3PM with nice percentages over the past 7 days. He has low up-side, but is generally a safe streaming option.

It's the playoffs, let's go deeper!

Here are a few more players worth looking at as streaming options for the week.

Michael Beasley (Houston Rockets, SF/PF)

Owned in 4% of Yahoo leagues.
4 games scheduled between Monday 14th March and Sunday 20th March.

Why is Michael worth adding?
Beasley is unpredictable, but if his short run in Houston has showed us anything, it's that he's not afraid to shoot. In his past 2 games he has averaged 16.5 PTS and 4 REB in only 15 minutes of playing time. He won't give you much outside of PTS and REB and his minutes are risky, but today we're digging deeper, Michael Beasley deeper.

Josh Richardson (Miami Heat, SG/SF)

Owned in 7% of Yahoo leagues.
3 games scheduled between Monday 14th March and Sunday 20th March.

Why is Josh worth adding?
Josh had himself a night out against Chicago dropping 22 PTS and 4 3PM. That game aside he has been a consistent source of minutes (27 over the past 7 days), with uninspiring production. If your waiver wire is thin and Josh is available he makes for an interesting streaming option on the chance that he manages to get hot again.
