After two weeks of WNBA season play, the Dallas Wings enter Week 3 with a 3-3 overall record. With only 8 players available, they have managed to stay at .500 for the season. The Dallas Wings have a light schedule this week as they face only one team and that is the Indiana Fever. The Fever who are currently in a rebuild and have the youngest roster are winless and will be eager for a win. The Wings got back on track against the Storm last week and need to continue to build momentum. This will be a road game for the Wings and a homecoming game for Skylar Diggins - Smith who is from Indiana and starred at Notre Dame. The Wings will be the favorites in this game and will need to come out strong against a youthful Fever team. The Wings have had nice starts but they often struggle to finish closing out games especially during the third and fourth quarters. If the Wings don't take care of business early and set the tone, the Fever could upset the Wings. The Wings advantage in this game will be at the center position as they currently do not have anyone who can slow Liz Cambage down. Expect her to have a big impact in this game. The Wings will also need to defend star rookie guard Kelsey Mitchell who is currently averaging 18.3 points per game on 44% FG and 43.5% from three. This should be a victory for the Wings if they defend and can close out the game on a high note, rather than squeaking by as they did last week.
