NBA Trade Rumours have been heating up, as we approach the 2018 deadline. According to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski, the Charlotte Hornets are looking to trade star PG Kemba Walker.

The Hornets have also stated that teams should be interested in a larger trade, which will likely include a lot of less-desirable contracts. Charlotte could be looking to package players like Nicolas Batum and Michael Kidd-Gilchrist along with Walker in order to free up cap space. They also stated that they hope including Walker in a trade scenario would bring back younger players and/or future draft picks, likely to help with rebuilding.

Walker is the franchise's No. 2 player all-time in career points and assists, so he won't be traded without much in return. This solidifies the rumor that the Hornets will be looking to rebuild in the coming years.

Previously, the Hornets made other players available on the trade block. These players include:

Nic Batum (4 Years, $100 Million)

Dwight Howard (2 Years, $47 Million)

Marvin Williams (3 Years, $42 Million)

Michael Kidd-Gilchrist (3 Years, $39 Million)

However, as one might expect, no teams are currently willing to take on any of their contracts. The Hornets hope that by including Walker on the deal, some contracts may be relieved and Charlotte can begin the process of resetting and rebuilding.

The Hornets are currently 11th in the Eastern Conference with a dreadful record of 18-25, which is enough to put them 4 games behind 8th place.
