The Nets haven't been quite that bad this season so far. Considering the expectations, 3-5 is acceptable. Let's see what else they could do in the Wild, Wild, West.
Los Angeles Clippers
Monday, 14 November 2016 at 10:30 PM ET Away
The Clips are on scorching hot right now. 8-1 and 1st in the West Conference are definitely admirable. It'll also be a very tough challenge for the Nets. DeAndre Jordan is going to give Brook Lopez some trouble.
Los Angeles Lakers
Tuesday, 15 November 2016 at 10:30 PM ET Away
The Lakers are surprisingly doing solid this season, with a 5-4 record. Their coach Luke Walton must be doing something right. This will be an easier game than the Clippers game, but the Lakers know how to score. Since Jeremy Lin is out currently, Sean Kilpatrick will need to step up in the offense department.
Oklahoma City Thunder
Friday, 18 November 2016 at 08:00 PM ET Away
The Thunder are another hard-to-beat team, in particular for the Nets. Russell Westbrook; Brooklyn can not stop the leading candidate for this season's MVP. They can only hope to contain him in spurts. If they can accomplish that, the Thunder will be easier to take down.
Portland Trail Blazers
Sunday, 20 November 2016 at 03:30 PM ET Home
Damian Lillard, one of the elite guards in the league today, will be a handful for the Nets. The defense will be a major factor in this game. Mason Plumlee gets to meet his old team, and will most likely have a hard time stopping Brook Lopez.
