The Celtics get a rematch with the Bulls before a national television showdown with the Cleveland Cavaliers on Thursday night. They cap off the week with a Sunday night home game against a young Denver Nuggets team.

The Celtics get another look at the Bulls, who defeated them 105-99 last Thursday. In the win, the Bulls sub-par shooters went off, connecting on 11 of 25 three-point attempts. The three-point barrage was led by Dwyane Wade (4-6), Jimmy Butler (4-6), and Rajon Rondo (1-2). For comparison, Wade had hit 3 three-pointers in his last 39 games combined and Butlers only made threes of the season are the shots he connected on against the Celtics.
With Chicago coming into Boston, I don't expect their shooters to have career games again. Their unexpected shooting caught the Celtics off guard, and that led to the eventual upset by the Bulls in their first matchup.
After the win in Charlotte, the Celtics seemed to be hitting a bit of a stride. The team is playing well and Marcus Smart is returning, expect a good game. The perimeter defense will be the deciding factor for the Celtics.

A day after playing Chicago, Boston will get their first look at the defending champions and LeBron James. Last year, the Celtics went 1-2 against Cleveland. In the one win, Avery Bradley hit a fade-away buzzer beater as the Celtics rallied from a 5 point deficit with 5 seconds left in the game.
This will be a huge early test for the Celtics, especially on a back to back. It will be interesting to see if the Celtics have the grit to pull out this type of game. Personally, I think it will be hard to win this one, but this team never gives up and I never count them out.
I like Al Horford and Isaiah Thomas to shine here, Thomas always seems to play with a chip on his shoulder against the Cavs and I think Horford will want to try and redeem himself after poor previous performances against Tristan Thompson and Kevin Love.

After a tough stretch of games against the Bulls and Cavaliers, the Celtics return home to face the rebuilding Denver Nuggets. This is a game that the Celtics cannot take lightly, the Nuggets are the type of upstart team that could pull an upset.
With Emmanuel Mudiay, Danilio Gallinari, Nikola Jokic, and more, this team has been grooming talent. With a couple more years of development, the Nuggets could challenge some of the upper-echelon in the West.
Boston needs to make a statement by dispatching of them early in the game, the longer they hang around, the more confidence they will gain. Look for Avery Bradley to continue his hot shooting against the weaker Denver perimeter defenders.
