Kent Bazemore was everywhere Saturday night as the Hawks held onto a one point lead to win their first game of the playoffs against the Boston Celtics. At halftime the Hawks led by 19 points only to see Boston grind back into striking distance. Celtics PG Isaiah Thomas hit a clutch 3-pointer to cut the lead to one with .4 seconds to go in the fourth, but the Hawks survived.
Al Horford and Jeff Teague were really good. The two longest tenured Hawks combined for 47 points, 16 rebounds, and and 14 assists with only four turnovers. However, it was Kent Bazemore's energy that set the tone from the opening tip.
Kent Bazemore finished with 23 points, 8 rebounds, 1 steal, 2 blocks, and 0 turnovers. He finished with a team high +/- of +7. He created 7 points off turnovers and 5 second chance points. He was a boomerang between both ends of the court. He constantly applied pressure, found open cutting lanes, and crashed the boards. He seemed to never run out of energy.
Below is a video of Kent Bazemore's complete highlights.
