The Atlanta Hawks are interested in restricted free agent Matthew Dellavedova.

The Hawks are reportedly seeking the services of scrappy Cleveland back-up point guard, Matthew "Delly" Dellavedova. A handful of other teams are also interested, including the Sacramento Kings, Milwaukee Bucks, and Dallas Mavericks. Cleveland extended their qualifying offer to Delly and can match any offer he receives in order to retain him. However, his price tag may come too high for a Championship team that has plenty of mouths to feed.

In January he was voted by his fellow players and NBA coaches as the dirtiest player in the NBA. Hawks fans certainly remember him as such from the 2015 Eastern Conference Finals as he made a living at diving towards players' ankles. He even provoked an elbow from the usually peaceful Al Horford after attempting to undercut him at the knees. Those same fans would probably be the first to welcome the defensive minded point guard if he were to land in Atlanta.

The Hawks have a few back-up point guard positions to fill after trading Shelvin Mack and Jeff Teague. Kirk Hinrich is a free agent and so far there has been no indication that he will be re-signed.
